Gout Treatment Of Symptoms
I'd like to tell you about a personal experience I had with gout. The very first time I ever had a gout attack was at the age of 36 and it was agonizingly painful to say the least! It began to happen to me shortly after a time in my life when I experienced my first excruciatingly painful episode of passing kidney stones. I was a bit overweight and was working out intensely in the gym and had changed my diet to try to get my body into better shape. So one morning, I had woken up from what felt like was a good night's sleep and found that my big toe on my right foot was a little sore and kind of on fire.
I didn't really feel any real discomfort until I started walking though. It was kind of tender and I was rather confused asking myself, "did I sprain my toe somehow and didn't know about it?" Because honestly, I couldn't remember if I did but that's how it felt. As the day went on I found it ever increasingly difficult to walk using my right foot at all, because pain was becoming more fierce by the second it seemed! The tenderness of my entire big right toe, right down into the joint that connects the metatarsal to the phalanges became so painful and sensitive, that I couldn't even wear any sort of shoe let alone a sock! And by the time it reached it's peak of tenderness and piercing pain, I was literally walking around with my entire right foot coming down on it's very outer edge with all the pressure on the pinky toe and ankle because that's how searing painful it was. But, the minute I forgot and came down on that big toe again by accident was when I hit the floor in agony!
For the next couple of days, I set out on a trek to find out what was wrong with my toe and why it was in so much pain?? I was confused. I took some aspirin and that dulled the pain temporarily but experienced an eventual return in the pain. I tried hot showers and that seemed to help, again temporarily. So, the next day I set out to go see the doctor but before I finish telling you about the doctor visit, I just wanted to express to all of you that I found it absolutely impossible to have any blanket or sheet even covering my big toe whatsoever during sleep! That's how tender and sensitive it was. And, I like sleeping on my sides with one foot on top of the other and that was a hassle believe you me lol! So, the doctor took a look at my foot and immediately tells me that I'm having a gout attack. Excuse me?? Did you say gout, I asked...
Gout Caused By Uric Acid?
That's when he told me about the crystallized uric acid build up that causes gout in the joint that connects the big toe. He said that when the kidneys are having trouble excreting uric acid from the body, these tiny uric acid crystals can sometimes build up in the big toe joint of the foot or in the knee causing gout and when the crystals get built up too much, they start to act like a saw cutting through your joint tissue and that's why it gets so inflamed and tender. He told me that diet can also be a catalyst for the uric acid build up and most likely was. Nonetheless, he prescribed some medication for my gout. It was an 8 day course of gout treatment after which, I still had not clarified my issue completely! The pain began to return probably due to my diet because at this point, I still did not know that what I was eating and drinking was having the biggest and worst impact on my situation. Rather than go on another course of treatment through the doctor, I figured I would look into finding a natural gout treatment simply because the medication that the doctor had prescribed to me had the potential for liver damage!
Someone I knew recommended I look into this vitamin supplements and herbal remedies book they had, to see if it had a gout treatment in it. I figured I'd give it a shot. So, we looked up gout remedies and it told us what it called for to treat it naturally. I went to my local natural food store almost immediately and bought everything the remedy called for in the book. I gave those particular "ingredients" about a week to see what kind of effect they would have on my gout symptoms and to no surprise, ended up not working. Whether it was going to work or not was another story and I did not want to wait around to find out because my toe was steadily climbing the pain ranks again and felt like it was going to spontaneously combust at any moment!
My gout pain got so bad at a point in time, that I literally wanted to take a saw and just cut my foot off! The pain was so intense that I started to feel it in the entire lower foot region. My Throbbing Toe & Foot On Fire! So, I decided to start doing some research on the internet to find a good natural gout treatment or cure. It didn't take me long to find a remedy. I read up on it, along with a variety of other remedies on how to treat gout naturally. But there was something about this product that I found that struck me in a positive way and made me want to give it a shot and purchase it! You know how when you're hesitant or reluctant to try something new or spend the money on something you don't know what the outcome will be like? Well, there was none of that there for me! Plus, it was the only original gout formula available at the time.
Effective Treatment Was On The Way
Once the formula arrived, I read the instructions that it came with and immediately started the course of gout treatment. No bad side effects whatsoever and I experienced relief of symptoms inside of 7 days! I stayed with the gout treatment for about 3 months solid and finished all the bottles, just to make sure I knocked the gout out in its entirety. I drank a ton of water with it because that's what it calls for. That was an interesting change I had to make from all the soda I was used to drinking! Trust me, I almost drowned myself with the amount of water I was drinking!!
The only side effects I experienced while taking this particular gout treatment was what felt to be more like an activated set of kidneys. It felt a bit weird because I don't think they'd been working properly for a while! All in all, I'm thankful for this natural gout treatment advantage and the benefits it provides. You want to know something interesting? For some strange reason now, when I go in to see my doctor for a check up and he calls for blood work, the results come back stating that my liver is functioning perfectly?? There was a time in my life when my liver was producing 3 times the amount of enzymes it should've been due to my fatty diet, plus having high Triglycerides. After learning of this, I changed my gout diet to a healthier one, but like a lot of people do, I didn't stick to it and reverted back to a diet higher in fat. Funny thing is when my doctor calls for new blood work again after being on this natural supplementation for gout, the results come back perfect? I guess there's an ingredient in there that benefits you this way. Beautifully functioning liver like a child would have! A plus benefit for sure!

Diet linked to causing your gouty arthritis pain for the last 2000 years?
There has been an association between gout and diet for a long time. Gout or “gouty arthritis” is the oldest known type of arthritis dating back to at least 2,500 years ago. But, the association between gout and the production of uric acid has only been known since the 1800s. Suggestions that purine rich foods, most often found in protein sources such as red meat have been responsible for the increase gout symptoms. It became known as the “disease of kings” or “rich man’s disease” because of the consumption of foods and alcoholic beverages rich in purines, a lifestyle only wealthy people had access to. Although purines are natural substances made by the body, they are also found in many foods that cause gout, especially animal protein sources. Purines are then converted to uric acid, however it can build up in the joints in the form of sharp crystals if not enough is eliminated and can cause painful episodes.
Diet has proven to be a key factor in the recurrence of gout flares. I’ve personally found that an acute gout attack can be brought on by dietary consumption of shellfish, red meat, beer, high fructose concentrated sugar drinks, and specific vegetable sources such as spinach and cauliflower for example. These are what are considered to be purine rich food and drink sources. A gout diet is a nutritional routine that includes eating foods low in purines to help reduce the occurrence and severity of gout attacks caused by high levels of uric acid that your body has a difficult time excreting.
Avoiding purine-rich foods is only one element of gout treatment.
Often, so many people make the mistake of carrying on as usual after the pain symptoms and inflammation of a gout flare or attack have subsided, not knowing or realizing that much of the uric acid crystallization is still there in and around the joint tissue. Just because the pain is gone doesn’t mean you are free of gout!
NSAID’s (Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) taken to combat pain and bring down swelling tend to do a great job this way. But, they simply do not remove the underlying cause of a gout flare, which is the uric acid crystal formations in and around your affected joints. These sharp needle-like crystals must be removed in order for them to stop silently and stealthily damaging your joints, let alone forcing you to have to suffer through horrible bouts of pain that will continue to come with acute gout attacks in the future if not removed.
Your kidneys are the ones that need a gout fighting boost!
It’s not “your body” that is having a difficult time excreting uric acid. It is in fact your kidneys that are having a difficult time with excreting uric acid from your body. When your kidneys don’t function correctly in the ways of excreting uric acid from your body, they simply cannot contend with the extra challenge of the consumption of purine rich foods, sugar drinks, and alcoholic beverages.
Following a healthy, balanced low purine gout diet which includes drinking plenty of H2O to flush uric acid from your body. Exercise is important to take into consideration in maintaining a healthy weight. Avoid crash diets and fasting as these can also cause your body to build up uric acid. Keeping stress levels to a minimum is also an essential key factor in maintaining healthy uric acid levels. You should see your doctor to at least find out what condition you are in. Long term gout sufferers may have fallen victim to kidney damage, as well as joint destruction so it is important to know where you are at health wise.
If you know a thing or two about dangerous, harmful side effects that prescription gout medications come with, just know there is a phenomenal natural treatment available to you that works better than any potentially harmful synthetic drugs.
You should find out more about what gout is to help you set the tempo for success in eliminating your gout symptoms and occurrences forever!
